Enjoy the music video for “Laser Eyes”, the title track of my new album with 13 original Bitcoin songs!
This is the second song I sing as a duet, this time with my friend Aistė Č̣iurlionytė from Lithuania. Laser Eyes sounds like a love song, but it’s actually about Bitcoin mining – or vice versa? Its hook line is the ambiguous “I will make you mine – powered by sunshine”.
The basis of this song was recorded at Studio RitmoTK in Málaga, overdubs were added in Playa del Carmen (México) and Buenos Aires. It’s a soul ballade with a great brass arrangement by Julio Kladniew and a wonderful hammond organ solo played by Nico López Soto.
The video was shot at Parque Alcazaba in Málaga with Artemio Golovko on Camera and Tania Pekur and Daria Farella doing art direction, make-up and many other things. I edited it myself.
The video, like the whole album, is sponsored by Rootstock, the DeFi protocol built on Bitcoin. Thanks to my friend Diego Gutiérrez Zaldívar for making it happen!
The single “Laser Eyes” has been released first on Wavlake, the decentralised, Bitcoin-powered alternative to Spotify and rose immediately to Number One in their charts.
Spotify, Apple, Amazon and all the other centralised streaming platform will follow on Friday, July 10th. You can buy the album as a vinyl LP or CD here. It is also available as a 64 page full colour book with all songs as downloadable MPs.
The book contains all the lyrics, chords and artworks of the songs as well as valuable, easily understandable information about Bitcoin: why do we need stateless, decentralised money? How does Bitcoin work? How can we use it in daily life?
When people add laser eyes to their profile picture, they show their support for Bitcoin. An even better way to do that is buying my album!
