Let’s Imagine will be released on October 9th, John Lennon’s birthday. This is no coincidence, as my song is obviously a tribute to John Lennon’s Imagine.

I’ve always been a fan of the Beatles, and of John Lennon in particular. However, Imagine contains a few ideas that are a bit too socialist for my taste, especially the line ‘Imagine no possessions’. John Lennon himself said that it was, in essence, the Communist Manifesto. Even though this is as far from my political views as possible, I still consider it a brilliant song.

Let’s Imagine is my libertarian response to John Lennon’s masterpiece. My song emphasises private property, stateless, decentralised money and a free society based on voluntary participation. It is, therefore, just as utopian as its source of inspiration: “You may say that I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.”
