My new single The Paradox Groove has been released today on all major music platforms. Choose your favourite service!
This is my funky version of a well-known German poem that plays with paradoxes: “Dunkel war’s, der Mond schien helle, als ein Wagen blitzes-schnelle langsam um die Ecke fuhr”. Although every line of my song contains a contradiction, there is a clear message: we tend to think too much, we should follow the wisdom of our body more often.
I love to dance, so my goal was to write a really funky song that would make everybody move. After having recorded a first version that didn’t quite do that, I met the bass player Ale ‘Pulpo’ Saggio and the percussionist Carlos Cortés Bustamante, and their contributions to the song made a big difference. A funky horn section, arranged by my friend Julio Kladniew, is the icing on the cake.

LYRICS
Hurry up to slow down
Make a move to stay grounded
Get on up to calm down
Get it straight to get well-rounded
Get into the paradox groove
Don’t think too much and just move
Move on up to get down
Turn around to stay centred
Let it flow to get solid
Play it cool to be hot-tempered
Get into the paradox groove
Don’t think too much and just move
Stay on the scene like a time machine
