Since May 2024 I have released eight songs. Here are the statistics until December 31st 2024, sorted by streams on Spotify. Isn’t it interesting that my most popular songs are about death and aging?

That’s 357,871 streams on Spotify and 512,119 views on YouTube. Unfortunately, Apple Music, Amazon and the other streaming platforms do not disclose their statistics, probably because their figures are much lower than those of the market leader Spotify. Therefore one can only guess how often my music was actually listened to.

The Spotify figures are taken from my official artist’s profile (see below), they differ slightly from the ones shown in the app.

It’s evident that my later releases perform better than my earlier ones. This is not necessarily because the music is better, but because I have learned more about music marketing. I suppose it was also useful that I have released one song per month, so my fan base has been continuously growing.

In general, I am very happy with these figures! Sure, none of my songs can be labelled a hit by today’s standards, but they are still listened to much more often than the average song on Spotify. What counts even more for me is the very positive feedback I get on my music.
